While Behind Enemy Lines' topical hardcore differs substantially from the slogan-driven anthems of A-R, there is no lack of leftist bite in songs like "Fucking Bastards," "American Made Death Squad" and "Murder at the G-8 Summit." And though some things have remained relatively unchanged in the transition between bands, such as Dave Trenga's alternating 4/4 vocal delivery, Behind Enemy Lines shows a growth in lyrical themes and ideas that doesn't sacrifice wit for the sake of maturity. Initially released in 2001 on Tribal War Records, the same label that put out Aus-Rotten's tumultuous discography Not One Single Fucking Hit, Know Your Enemy introduces a band willing to pick up where Aus-Rotten left off, while adducing a new set of progressive ideas. In its wake, vocalist Dave Trenga, guitarist Bill Chamberlain, and drummer Matt Garabedian formed Behind Enemy Lines, and the cycle of life was complete. As the 1990s came to an end, so too did Aus-Rotten. Not exactly crust per se - due mostly to the lack of "X," "Anti-" and "Dis-" in their name and vocals that were actually decipherable - but hard to separate from their anarcho roots and the future crust acts they would go on to influence. But I think it can be a better version of itself.Even while bubbling below the surface for nearly their entire existence, Pittsburgh's Aus-Rotten were arguably one of the most important bands of the 1990s in the American punk scene. I think GRB is great, hence why we are all passionate about the game. Ghost Recon since Wildlands has taken a dramatic turn in the series. It needs to take cover, shoot, flank you and shoot more. It needs to be commanded to stand, take cover and shoot. I want a tactical shooter game that will make me think more and make my palms sweat. This is a rough idea about what I would like to see. There may already be helicopters and search teams on high alert randomly. Upon returning to that region, enemy AI is smarter. (a bit similar to the division 1 in survival mode). Being killed by them should be high stakes. But they should leave their localized base, making their way via car, helicopter or boat towards your location. 4 special operators are now tracking you. 1-3 regions can operate at this wanted level if you trigger seen by enemies killing a hostile soon after leaving a region.Īt this level, you should be under a manhunt. I think it should increase until you leave that region.Ħ. In GTA 5 or Wildlands, your wanted level disappears if you're not found. Have you guys seen the new Tom Clancy movie? Very similar to that. You now must leave that region by any means to continue playing. If search teams can't find you after a while, all bases are alerted to secure the whole region. This simply means that you can't fast travel, you need to lay low and think about how you're going to do the next objective.ĥ. If you escape the area, there should be vehicle and helicopter search teams driving around the region looking for you. They drive around the area trying to find you and flank you.Ĥ. They communicate with ground search team once in the area. In coming vehicle teams drive into the area. Helicopter search teams to help ground search teams if you're not foundģ. The base should adapt to what the player does.ġ. If you raided one base, another base in that region should be alerted.Įach base should have different levels of security and defense depending how many times you've attacked the base or if it has been alerted. Every region could have played slightly different.Įach base in a region should be in communication as to the activities of the player. The mechanic from Wildlands where there are different waves and levels of enemies chasing you, and different tiers of enemy bases and regions needs to come back, and to be improved upon.Įvery region in GRB should have had a commander, irrespective if it was embedded in the storyline or not. Then the game felt normal of that, I felt comfortable roaming about. I felt that in the opening of GRB, and I thought it was a decent opening. The tone and setting of the book makes you think about how the SAS squad has to survive being 150miles behind enemy lines. I'm reading a book by Damien Lewis, SAS Band of Brothers: The Last Stand of the SAS and their Hunt for the Nazi Killers.
